Deputy Consul General of Israel Gershon Kedar will speak on Ball State University's campus at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fine Arts Building Rm. 217.
His lecture will discuss what the Middle East should expect following the conflict in Gaza and the elections in Israel.
Kedar is a diplomat who has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 18 years.
He began his post as the Deputy Consul General of Israel in July of 2008 in Chicago.
Kedar has also served as the Deputy Director of the Department of United Nations Political Affairs and as the Counselor in the Ambassador's Bureau at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C.
The event is sponsored by the Ball State Jewish Studies program and the department of political science.
