The Ball State University women's basketball team earned a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will play Tennessee in the first round, the NCAA announced today.
The opening game will be Sunday at Bowling Green, Ky., in the Berkeley Region.
Ball State (25-8) earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament by winning the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 55-51 victory against Bowling Green State University Sunday. This year is the first time the Cardinals earned an invitation to the NCAA Tournament.
