They may cost several hundred dollars, but more college students are willing to pay for smartphones than other demographics, according to a Ball State University study released this morning.
The study - which surveyed 300 college students - found that 27 percent of the participants owned smartphones, which is 8 percent higher than the national average.
The study was part of a series of research projects involving mobile communication among young adults that began in 2005, according to a press release.
