Fielding errors proved to get the best of the Ball State University softball team as they fell to the University of Notre Dame 5-1 on Tuesday in South Bend.
The Cardinals' four fielding errors produced four runs for the Fighting Irish.
Elizabeth Milian received the loss for Ball State. She pitched the entire game and had four strikeouts and one earned run.
Jen Reifschneider was once again kept inside the park, going 1-1 with two walks.
