OUR VIEW: Pep it up

AT ISSUE: Students should come support the marching band's first-ever appearance at a men's volleyball game

As the Cardinals tempt fate with the poisonous Buckeyes, the band will be cheering them on for the first time. With only a few games remaining before the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Quarterfinals and Championships, the men's 4-3 conference record must be improved if they hope to contend for a MIVA Championship.

The team needs all the support it can get.

Ohio State is first in the conference with 5-1 followed by Lewis with Ball State in third.

Student support can only help the team's performance. The band will be there rooting on the team in Cardinal Red and White after supporting the women's basketball team at the NCAA Tournament.

Take some time out of your night to cheer on your peers. Pep band students lead just as busy of lives as the rest of campus and they're carving some time out of their Friday to show their Cardinals pride.

Matches typically last two hours, are done before 10 p.m. and are free to students.

Change up your Friday night and check out the team that has been to the NCAA Tournament 15 times and brought home 21 MIVA Championships.
