After Ball State University baseball players won the first three Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week awards of the year, the Cardinals swept the fourth week of honors.
Junior center fielder Jeremy Hazelbaker won his second player of the week award of the season and junior pitcher Brad Piatt won pitcher of the week.
Piatt won Ball State's home opener with seven shutout innings Friday against Chicago State University. He allowed one hit and walked one, but did not allow a runner past second base. The junior is 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA.
Hazelbaker went 10-for-20 in six games against Chicago State and Southern Illinois University. He scored nine runs and had seven stolen bases as the Cardinals went 4-2 during that stretch.
The honorees in the East Division were Ohio University left fielder Mark Krauss and Bowling Green State University pitcher Matt Malewitz.
Freshman first baseman Ian Nielsen and junior left fielder Kory Benbow have also won MAC Player of the Week honors this season.
Ball State continues its season Friday as it opens MAC play at home against the University of Akron at 3 p.m.
