Hazelbaker hit a walk-off home run Friday to beat Indiana University 5-4. He continued his streak Sunday against host Austin Peay State University, going 4-for-6 with a career-high five RBIs, a double, triple and two runs. The home run was his first of the season.
The MAC honored University at Buffalo pitcher Pierre Miville-Deschenes and Northern Illinois University pitcher Andy Deain as MAC Pitchers of the Week. Kent State University outfielder Jason Patton was MAC East Player of the Week.
Hazelbaker and the Cardinals will continue their season at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Missouri when they begin a four-game series.
