WOMEN'S GOLF: Cardinals are in 30th place out of 43 teams; O'Connor is tied for 67th place to lead BSU

After two days at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, the Ball State University women's golf team sits in 30th place out of 43 teams with a team score of 647 strokes, which is 71-over par.

Although the Cardinals dropped two spots from 28th after the first day, they improved their team score by five strokes in the second round.

Junior Kirsty O'Connor has the best score of the Cardinals with 157 strokes. Sophomore Rachael Pruett owns the top score for a single round with her second day 73, which is one stroke over par for the course.

The University of Miami leads the field with a score of 29-over par as a team. There are three players tied for the individual lead of two-over par for the tournament. Those players are Elisa Aoki of the University of Central Florida, Mary Kate Bird of Nebraska University and Jessica Yadloczky of Florida University.
