Student arrested in relation to robbery

A Ball State University student and another man were arrested late Wednesday night after robbing a Pizza King deliveryman on the 300 block of North Calvert St.

At about 10:30 p.m., Ball State student Adam Sickmann, 20, and Andrew Weddle, 21, threw Pizza King employee Nathanael Rigney to the ground and kicked him, according to the police report.

Sickmann and Weddle proceeded to steal two large royal feast pizzas and one grey delivery bag, totaling more than $68, according to the report.

After robbing Rigney, the two men fled west from the scene toward McKinley Avenue, according to the report.

Officer Gaither of the Ball State University Police Department spotted someone looking out from the blinds in apartment six of 220 N. McKinley Ave., according to the report.

Gaither went to apartment six and made contact with Sickmann in the apartment who was, according to the report, breathing heaving with sweat of his face and only wearing his underwear.

Sickmann and Weddle were later arrested and taken to the Delaware County Jail.
