Fans will get to see the Ball State University soccer team play at home three times this spring as part of its spring schedule that was released Tuesday.
Ball State will play five games this spring, including three at the BSU Soccer Field. All of the games will be played in April, which includes the team's annual Alumni Game.
Ball State will open its spring season with a neutral-site game against Western Michigan University at noon April 4 in Fort Wayne.
They will then return to Muncie for a home game against the University of Southern Indiana at 2 p.m., April 5. The following week, Ball State will play host to Butler University at noon April 11.
The Cardinals will then play at Indiana University at noon April 18. The Hoosiers finished the 2008 season with a 8-10-1 record, including an exhibition win against Mid-American Conference team Miami University.
Ball State will conclude its spring season with its Alumni Game at 1 p.m., April 25. In last season's Alumni Game, the Cardinals defeated the Alumni team 3-1 as it scored three unanswered goals in the final 55 minutes.
The Cardinals finished with a 9-10-1 record last year under then-first year coach Michael Lovett. They lost 1-0 in the first round of the MAC Tournament against Central Michigan University.
The Cardinals lost seven seniors from the 2008 squad, all of whom started.
