For the second straight week, the Ball State University men's volleyball team remained out the top 15 coaches poll.
The Cardinals received four votes - 13 fewer votes than last week - to remain listed at No. 16 in the newest poll released Monday afternoon.
Ball State (3-4, 1-0 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) swept the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday at Worthen Arena for its second consecutive win. Prior to the back-to-back wins, Ball State lost four its first five matches after starting the season ranked No. 12 in the preseason poll.
Two MIVA teams were ranked in the top 15. Lewis University moved up three spots to No. 12 after defeating then-No. 6 UCLA during the weekend. Ohio State University received 27 votes and dropped one spot to No. 15 following a three-game loss to No. 1 Penn State University on Saturday.
The Cardinals have two road matches this week - both against Division III teams. Ball State will play the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday and Carthage College on Saturday.
