The Ball State University women's basketball team lost 79-69 against St. Louis University Sunday. Ball State is 7-6 for the season.
Guard Porchia Green led the team in scoring with 16 points. Forward Danielle Gratton and Green led the team in rebounds with seven each.
Ball State was behind 40-26 at half time. Ball State never had the lead during the game, and St. Louis outrebounded Ball State 48-28.
Ball State will play its first Mid-American Conference opponent Eastern Michigan University at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals enter conference play with the second best record in the MAC West Division, trailing Central Michigan University (8-5) by one game. The Eagles are 4-8 in the non-conference, including a loss to the University of Dayton on Sunday.
