Rushing Offense
BALL STATE -BUFFALO - The Bulls also feature one of the MAC's premier tailbacks, James Starks. The junior is second in the MAC with 1,226 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Despite his success, he is behind Lewis in yards, touchdowns and average per carry. It's hard to give the Bulls' running game the edge, especially with MiQuale Lewis, who still feels he has something to prove.

Passing Offense
BALL STATE -BUFFALO - Buffalo's quarterback Drew Willy has experienced a phenomenal season in his senior year. Willy is third in the MAC with 2,882 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns. He's also completed 64.5 percent of his passes. But his best statistic is five, as in the number of interceptions he's thrown this season. Willy has the fewest interceptions in the conference, and the ability to make good decisions will be beneficial against a ball-hawking Ball State secondary.

Run Defense
BALL STATE -BUFFALO -Outside linebacker Justin Winters is one of the best defensive players in the MAC. The third team all-MAC selection is fourth in the league with 113 tackles on the season. However, the rest of Buffalo's front seven has struggled mightily, leading to a run defense that ranks sixth of 13 teams in rushing defense. The Bulls allow 159.7 rushing yards per game and have surrendered 26 rushing touchdowns, 14 more than Ball State.

Pass Defense
BALL STATE -BUFFALO -The weakest part of Buffalo's team is inarguably its defensive secondary. Despite having a pair of all-MAC defensive backs in Davonte Shannon and Mike Newton, the Bulls rank 11th in the MAC with 241.1 passing yards allowed per game. It seems to be the perfect storm for Ball State quarterback Nate Davis to have one of the best performances of his career.
