A matchup between the undefeated football teams of Ball State University and Boise State University will not happen in the Humanitarian Bowl.
A press release from the Humanitarian Bowl Wednesday afternoon said Ball State informed the bowl that the Cardinals are not a candidate to play the Broncos in Boise, Idaho.
Both Ball State and Boise State are ranked in the top 12 of the BCS. There was national speculation about getting the two teams to play each other in a bowl game to pair up two of the nation's four remaining undefeated teams.
