The Ball State University men's basketball team defeated host University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 82-69 Tuesday night to improve their overall record to 3-1 on the season.
Senior guard Brandon Lampley had a career-high tying 15 points in the win, while the formula of high scoring from freshman center Jarrod Jones and a double-double from senior forward Anthony Newell stood true again. Despite foul trouble from both, Jones had a game-high 18 points, while Newell had 14 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
The Cardinals out-rebounded the Panthers (3-3) 38-26 in the game.
Ball State returns to play Saturday as they host Arkansas State University starting 2 p.m. at Worthen Arena.
