FOOTBALL: Six buses depart for Central Mich.

About 300 Ball State University students will leave on six buses at 2 p.m. Wednesday for the Ball State vs. Central Michigan game in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

Student Government Association is sponsoring the buses that cost about $2,000 each, SGA president Frank Hood said.

SGA had been planning the bus trip since Ball State defeated Indiana University on Sept. 20.

"This is going to be a huge deal for the students who go," Hood said.

The demand was very high for spots on the first bus, which was purchased by SGA. When tickets went up on sale last Wednesday, they sold out within two and half hours, Hood said.

Tickets for the second bus, which was purchased by the Ball State University football program, sold out in under an hour.

Noticing the high demand for bus ride tickets, the Ball State president's office offered to provide six more buses.

Although the SGA-sponsored bus trip proved to be highly successful, Hood said he doesn't think his administration will sponsor bus trips to other sporting events this year.
