FIELD HOCKEY: Cards fall to CMU for 15th loss of the season

The Ball State University field hockey team lost 4-2 to Central Michigan University on the road Saturday.

Senior defender Jodi Mann scored both goals for the Cardinals who fell to 2-15 and 1-8 in the Mid-American Conference. After Mann opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game, the Chippewas scored four straight goals to win their MAC finale.

Ball State will close out the regular season Sunday at Miami University as they try to avoid tying the program's single-season loss record. A win would also secure the fifth seed in the MAC Tournament, set to begin Thursday.
