N*W*C to perform for Unity Week

As part of Unity Week Ball State University students and faculty can attend N*W*C at 6:30 p.m. in Pruis Hall.

N*W*C Coordinator Danielle Pye said she wanted to bring the event to a predominately white campus in a predominately white city because this is one way students can get exposure to other cultures.

"The event was a part of Unity Week and would be a reminder of why students should all be working together regardless of race, ethnicities and our differences to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day," she said.

Pye said because of time constraints with another group having Pruis Hall, there would not be a question and answer session. The actors are good about coming outside, signing autographs and talking one on one with students, she said.

She said parking could be an issue because there was something happening at Emens Auditorium. Students who live off campus will either have to pay to park in a parking structure or go to the commuter lots, she said.

Ultimately she said she hoped students and faculty would enjoy the show.

"[N*W*C] is more to start discussions among students themselves," Pye said.
