The Ball State men's basketball team lost their eighth straight game Saturday, breaking a previous record of seven straight set in 1927-28. The Cardinals were defeated by in-state rival Indiana State Sycamores 59-49 in Terra Haute, Ind.
Freshman Melvin Goins led the Cardinals with 17 points while senior Peyton Stovall led the team with six rebounds.
The Cardinals shot 18-56 from the floor and the Sycamores shot 22-46.
Ball State looks for their first victory on Dec. 16 when they travel to Jonesboro, Ark. to play Arkansas State University.
