Traffic slowed on McKinley Avenue for about an hour Tuesday as Indiana State and Ball State University police departments and Nye's Wrecking Service cleared an accident that involved two Ball State University students.
Senior Dustin Goad said he was traveling south on McKinley Avenue in his Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Junior Kyle Kuntz was traveling northbound on McKinley Avenue and turned left toward LaFollette Complex when his Ford pickup truck struck the left side of Goad's vehicle, Goad said.
"He just turned into me; [He] said he didn't see me," Goad said.
Kuntz declined to comment.
No one was injured in the accident, but Goad and Kuntz's vehicles were damaged.
Goad's vehicle's rear left side had dents and the tire was damaged. Kuntz's left bumper was dented, and the left turn signal was shattered.
No other property was damaged and no one else was involved.
Sgt. Tom Dujmovich of the Indiana State police arrived first on the scene about five minutes after the accident, Goad said.
Ball State police arrived soon after to assist with traffic control, Goad said.
Cpl. Matt Gaither of the Ball State police said the department arrived soon after the Indiana police to help with directing traffic.
