As part of the Homecoming 2007 festivities, Music on McKinley will have its second anniversary.
Kimberley Jackson, Homecoming Steering Committee publicity chair, said the event kicks off at 5 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m. on Wednesday. A variety of different activities will be taking place along McKinley Avenue.
A MITS bus will pick people up from Muncie Central High School on Walnut Street, she said, and shuttle them to campus to enjoy the festivities. The bus will run from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m, she said. In the event of rain, activities will take place in Pruis Hall.
Jackson said in addition to the 14 musicians performing, artists will exhibit their work and the Ball State University Student Government Association will hand out free pizza while supplies last.
Student vendors will sell souvenirs, hand out refreshments and Mark Carter of Carter's Nearly World Famous Hotdogs has given 100 free vouchers for hotdogs to be handed out, she said.
Jackson said at 8 p.m. John Gouwens of Culver Academies will perform a carillon concert at Shafer Bell Tower. After viewing the carillon concert, students can go to LaFollette Field where a SGA-sponsored fireworks display will end the festivities at 9 p.m, she said.
