Two players were dismissed from the Ball State University men's basketball team Thursday.
Guard Jarelle Redden and center Micah Rollin were removed from the team for violating team policy in separate instances, according to press release.
Both seniors transferred to Ball State before last season.
Rollin started 28 games last season and played in 30 of the team's 31 games. He averaged 6.7 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Redden started 11 games and played in 24 for the Cardinals last season. He averaged 1.6 points per game and had 13 steals.
"We are disappointed in the action's of Jarelle and Micah," coach Billy Taylor said. "It's unfortunate we had to come to this decision, but we wish them both well in their future endeavors. As a group, our team will move forward and we are excited to begin practice this weekend."
