Former Ball State University baseball pitcher Bryan Bullington is scheduled to make his first career start in the major leagues today when the Pittsburgh Pirates play the St. Louis Cardinals. Bullington played at Ball State from 2000 to 2002 and was the No. 1 overall MLB draft pick in 2002. He pitched 1.1 innings in relief in 2005.
Bullington went 9-11 with a 4.00 ERA with the AAA Indianapolis Indians.
The former Cardinal will be pitching against Anthony Reyes, who has a 2-13 record and a 5.63 ERA.
