Ball State University students chanted "Tipsy Trolley" as they got off and on the MITS Late Loop on Saturday. The trolley, based on Indiana University's weekend shuttle, ran for the first weekend since receiving approval and funding from local businesses. It runs through the Village, neighborhoods east of Ball State and into Downtown Muncie from 9:50 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
Several students said they appreciated its heat Saturday night when it snowed and temperatures dropped to 34 degrees. The trolley began running Friday and will continue until May 5. Riders can get on at regular MITS stops along the route or by flagging it down.
