For the second-straight week the Ball State University men's volleyball team was No. 13 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I-II national rankings released Monday.
The Cardinals received 10 more votes, 51, Monday than they did in the previous poll April 16. Also, it's the most votes Ball State received this season.
In the one match last week, outside attacker Nick Meyer had a team-high 19 kills as Ball State swept Lewis University 30-26, 30-27, 30-26 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament quarterfinals.
Currently there are four MIVA teams in the national rankings, No. 6 Ohio State University, No. 10 IPFW, No. 11 Loyola-Chicago University and No. 13 Ball State.
Each of these teams will play in the MIVA semi-finals Thursday at Columbus, Ohio. IPFW plays Loyola at 5 p.m., and Ball State plays Ohio State at 7:30 p.m.
