MEN'S BASKETBALL: Ronny Thompson show to debut Tuesday

Ball State University's men's basketball coach, Ronny Thompson, will make his television debut on "The Ronny Thompson Show" at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The program will air on the Ball State Sports Network and on WIPB-TV in Muncie.

The show will have a repeat broadcast at 11 p.m. before being available on the Web at www.ballstatesports.com. This will be the only show to air before the men's basketball season starts in November.

The show will be hosted by Wil Hampton and serve as the first formal television interview by Thompson since he took the helm at Ball State in April.

Thompson was named the university's 17th men's basketball coach after serving three years as an assistant to Stan Heath at the University of Arkansas. Thompson is also the son of Hall of Famer John Thompson, who coached at Georgetown University, and he is the brother of current Georgetown coach John Thompson III. Thompson also played for his father at Georgetown.
