SOCCER: Junior goaltender follows coach to Iowa

The Ball State University soccer team is losing another valuable member to the University of Iowa. Just a little more than three months after former Cardinals head coach Ron Rainey took the job as the head coach at Iowa, junior goaltender Alison Becker will follow him to the Big 10 school.-áThe All-Mid American Conference goaltender will transfer to Iowa for her senior season, leaving Ball State after three seasons as a letter winner.

At Ball State, Becker earned All-MAC second team honors, allowing just 11 goals and recording a single season Ball State record nine shutouts. -áBecker also led the MAC in goals against average, save percentage and shutouts. She holds the Ball State record for career save percentage at .841. -á
