Ball State University's gymnastics team placed fourth at the Missouri Cat Classic on Friday. Missouri earned first-place with 196.025 points. The Cardinal's total score of 187.900 is a season-high.-á
Junior Jenna Tarkington also had a season-high score. She received 9.875 points on the vault. The total vault score for Ball State was 48.425.
The team scored 45.950 on the uneven bars, 46.675 on the beam and 46.850 on the floor.
Sophomore Erica Gilkerson earned third-place in the all-around. She had a total score of 37.775. Gilkerson received 9.750 points on the vault, 9.625 on the beam, 9.375 on the floor and 9.025 on the bars.
Junior Lauren West placed fourth in the all-around with a total score of 37.400. West received a 9.650 on the beam, 9.500 on the floor, 9.150 on the vault and 9.100 on the bars.
Ball State will be traveling back to Missouri next weekend. They are to compete against Southeast Missouri with Centenary and Missouri at Cape Girardeau on Sunday.-á
