Police became involved in a foot chase near Ball State University campus when a passenger jumped out of a car during a routine traffic stop Sunday night, police said. University police chased the suspect through neighborhoods near Tillotson and Riverside avenues around 9 p.m. using Delaware County police dogs, police said. The driver told police the passenger had two misdemeanor warrants out. No Ball State students were involved.
