Apple accused of patent infringement

Creative Technology might sue Apple for patent infringement, according to CNN. Creative said the patent they were awarded on August 9, 2005, applies to the way music tracks are selected on an mp3 player. The selection system patented is the set of three or more successive screens. For example, iPods scroll from artists to albums to songs. Creative says this infringes on their patent. Creative said they are considering alternatives, according to CNN, but analysts cited by CNN say it is almost a certainty they will go after Apple for some type of royalty.
