A strong pair of matches over the weekend earned Nick Meyer player of the week honors for the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
Meyer, a sophomore outside attacker, slammed 28 kills while hitting .353 in Friday's four-set victory over intrastate rival IPFW. He also had seven digs and four block assists in the match.
In Sunday's sweep of Findlay, Meyer added 11 kills, six digs and four block assists. On the season the 6-foot-8 Meyer has 201 kills.
The two wins improved Ball State's record to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in the MIVA. The Cardinals look to improve their fifth-place standing when they take on Clarke tomorrow night in Worthen Arena.
