WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Ehndress named league player of the week

Senior Kate Endress was named the Mid-American Conference west division player of the week for the second straight week in a row. This is the third time this season and fifth in her career she has earned the award.

This past week she averaged 25.5 points and nine rebounds in two games. She has scored at least 20 points in all but one of the teams eight conference games.

"I think finality has set in a little for me," Endress said. "I'm really trying to just lay it all out there this season."

Endress has improved since the end of the teams non-conference schedule, mostly because the rest of the team is improving, she said.

"I'm getting a lot more open off screens, because we're setting them better," Endress said. "I'm confident that if I miss a shot we'll have rebounders underneath.

"I think those are the things that really make individual players better is when their team steps up."
