MEN'S TENNIS Baccarani named palyer of the week again

For the second week in a row Matt Baccarani battled a nationally ranked opponent, and for the second week in a row he was named Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

Baccarani led the Cardinals against No. 40 Northwestern with a 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 win over No. 114 Tommy Hanuus and teamed up with Patrick Thompson for an 8-6 doubles win as well. The Cardinals fell 4-3.

This marks the fifth time Baccarani has been named player of the week.

Baccarani will have his next chance to impress against No. 51 Michigan Saturday when they travel to Ann Arbor where he will likely face Michael Rubin in singles and the No. 17 duo of Ryan Heller and Brian Hung in doubles.
