Dear Editor:
I want to express my deep appreciation for the extraordinary support and encouragement over the last several weeks. Students, faculty, staff and alumni have been wonderful in their kindness and generosity. I'm also appreciative of the story and editorial in Friday's edition of the Daily News.
I go away from Ball State with memories that I will always treasure. We have made many friends at the university, and I look back with great fondness on my time here. Together we have accomplished a great deal in moving the university forward --toward an even stronger learning community for all of us.
Ball State University has a bright future, and I am grateful for having had the opportunity to be a part of the university. Best wishes to the students and the wonderful colleagues I have had the pleasure of knowing over the years.
