Men's basketball player Dennis Trammell was named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-District V First Team. The senior guard, who has a 3.42 GPA and graduated from Ball State with a degree in business management in December.
Trammell is only the fifth Cardinal to be named to the All-District team, following Matt McCollom, Patrick Jackson, Jeff Robbins and Rick Hall.
Trammell is joined by Drake Diener of DePaul, Dan Oppland of Valparaiso, Neil Plank of Illinois State and David Simon of IPFW.
Trammell, who leads Ball State in scoring with 16.6 points per game, will now be eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced later in the month.
