BSU students can earn degree in 3 years

Ball State University has 30 "fast-track" bachelor's degree programs that students can earn in three years.

"We have not created new or less rigorous degrees," President Jo Ann Gora said in a news release. "We are simply making it easier for students to earn a bachelor's degree in less time."

Degrees on the accelerated track include accounting, criminal justice, communication studies, economics, history, premed, nursing and women's studies.

Students on the accelerated track are assigned an additional adviser to help them avoid scheduling troubles.

Students must decide to take the fast track before their first semester. Switching majors, failing or withdrawing from a class would hinder students from earning a degree in three years.
