OUR VIEW: Election 2004

Elevenscore and some eight years ago, a handful of important mencreated an unprecedented document that helped set forth the way inwhich you live today.

At that time, they could not have imagined, nor predicted theways in which this country and this world would change.

And right now, nor can you.

Instead, those men went out and made decision based upon theknowledge they had and the future in which they saw.

Oddly enough, that's all you can do, too.

In those 200-plus years, wars have been waged, struggles havebeen had and words have been exchanged. Men and women have perishedfor the price of the living within these borders. Some knew therisks, others were merely innocent bystanders. In either situation, they gave their lives so that you could sit here today and readthese very words under your own free will.

It's under the same umbrella which grants you certaininalienable truths and rights.

Your right to live.

Your right to freedom.

Your right to choose.

Our forefathers did not slave over documents for us to sit idlywhile decisions are made around us. This was not what America wasfounded on or for, nor is it what it should be treated as.

We are the United States of America, land of the free and homeof the brave.

We are a Democracy.

We are individuals.

Individuals with a choice to make.

Today, show your neighbors, your friends, your country and thisworld that you are a living, breathing human with a mind andintelligence of your own.

Today, prove your worth.

Vote.
