James O. Hill is the co-founder of the National Weight Control Registry. The registry tracks people who have been successful in losing weight.
He has written more than 95 peer-reviewed publications discussing obesity.
Hill, a professor of pediatrics and medicine at the University of Colorado, will receive the 2004 McGovern Lecture.
