With a 3-4 record, head coach Greg Beals has made the decisionto give DeGeeter his first collegiate start.
DeGeeter has made two relief appearances this season, collectingfive strikeouts and allowing one earned run through 6 1/3 inningswith a 1.42 ERA.

The consistency of sophomore centerfielder Mike Sullivan andpower of first baseman Brad Miller have combined for a solidhitting lineup for the Cards.
Sullivan leads all Ball State hitters with a .400 battingaverage, .567 slugging percentage, seven runs, 12 hits, nine RBI,five doubles and 17 total bases. Miller adds a power punch with sixruns, two home runs and 14 total bases.
Following today's game, Ball State will play Cincinnati, thenLouisville in a double-header Saturday. The Cards cap off the tripwith an 11 a.m. game Sunday against Cincinnati.
