Men's tennis players Matt Baccarani and Patrick Thompson scored three consecutive points, with Wisconsin's David Hippee serving, to beat Hippee and Alexander Kasarov 45-15 and win the set and match 9-7. Hippee and Kasarov were ranked No. 8 in the nation.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Senior Paul Panning broke his own pole vault indoor record with a mark of 17-5 1/2 and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships March 12 in Fayetteville, Ark. Panning had suffered an injury and broken a pole in his last two trips to Indiana.

-Head coach Tracy Roller after senior Jessica Reiter, who had been sick last week, came out of the game and ate a cookie to re-energize herself. Reiter started the game slow, but ended with 15 points and nine rebounds.
