Soccer team collects conference honors

The Ball State soccer team placed four players on the 2003 AllMid-American Conference teams. Junior forward Dee Nocero led theCardinals with a first-team selection for the second-straight year.Nocero finished the season leading the team in goals with seven.Senior fullback Michelle Dineen made the second team for the firsttime in her career. Freshmen Amy Holst and Sarah Maxwell were namedto the all-freshmen team.

The Cardinals finished the season 11-7-2 with a first-round lossto Central Michigan in the MAC Tournament.

Men's volleyball falls short on the road

The men's volleyball team lost in five games against Ohio Stateon Sunday.�Ball State fell down 2-0 and rallied to tie thematch at 2-2, but Ohio State won the deciding game 15-11. JaryDelgado led the team with 17 kills in the match, and Keith Schunzelrecorded seven digs.

The Cardinals are back in action at 2 p.m. Saturday as they takeon former Ball State players in an alumni match.
