Spring schedule books won't be recalled

Ball State will not recall the Spring 2004 schedule of classes books because of the $6,000 cost, Tom Lowe, dean of University College, said.

The university recalled the books because the cover, which featured a painting from the Ball State Museum of Art, was poorly printed, Lowe said.

"It wasn't worth the cost," he said. "If students want to see the original in all its glory, they can see it in the museum."

The painting, "Keith," is by Chuck Close.

The books were scheduled to be released Wednesday. Students can pick them up after Fall Break.002,-¬-ó%+â-¿+â-ÄN_recallbrief_10/3DNEditorial002SORT-á+â-ä2AUDT
