Gymnasts compete in Regionals

Although the gymnastics team finished last at the Mid-American Conference Championships, three Cardinals performed well enough to compete in the NCAA Regionals Saturday.

Junior Quiana Williams finished 10th in the all-around, while senior Amy Bodus placed 13th. Neither scored high enough to make it to the next round of competition.

Williams scored a 9.85 on the beam, 9.80 on the floor, 9.65 on the vault and 9.625 on the bars for a total of 38.925.

Bodus earned a 9.65 on the vault and a 9.70 on the floor, bars and beam for a total of 38.750.

Junior Cassie Anthony tallied a 9.65 on the bars and a 9.575 on the beam.

This was the fourth year in a row that at least one member of the gymnastics team made it to the NCAA Regionals.
