Dear Editor,
I am writing in reference to the comment in Tuesday's editorial, "we promise to only pick on the city of Muncie's complete ineptness with regard to snow removal." I am sure this was an attempt at humor but to the men and women of the Muncie Street Department it is a slap in the face. It is interesting to note that on the front page of this same issue you have a great photo and story about snow removal.
Because of the significant amount of snow delivered to our city this weekend the street and sanitation departments worked almost nonstop to clean the streets. By Monday evening the crews were plowing streets in neighborhoods, our last priority. I would like to offer an invitation for you to visit out street department to learn how we prioritize and clean our streets.
