AT ISSUE: Students with opinions should show effort to make change, run for SGA office

The packets are in.

With little effort, students can be eligible to make a difference. This means there is no excuse not to.

Student Government Association elections are one month away, and nomination packets are available now in the SGA office, Student Center room 223.

Most students on this campus have at least one aspect of Ball State they would like to see change. If not, they want to ensure that what is right about Ball State should remain so.

This is reason enough to run for an SGA office.

The issues from last year remain, and new ones have surfaced. If you have an opinion, you belong in SGA.

The organization needs people who are willing to debate and represent the rights and needs of the students. This is a pure student voice on campus, representing student organizations from greek to multicultural.

SGA is the primary source of change for students. Though the organization cannot make university policy, it can make the student voice heard.

Students who care about the university they attend must stop being idle student body members and start taking a hands-on approach at tackling university and student issues.

It is time to pick up the pen and start showing concern for students' needs.
