Greek groups host hogroast

Money raised by event will go to BSU grad with Leukemia

.

This Saturday, fraternity Delta Chi and sorority Kappa Delta will play host to the 6th-annual Hogroast at the Delta Chi house.

The hogroast is an event to raise money for a different sponsor. This year, they will be raising for a past graduate of Ball State who has Leukemia.

In order to attend the event, there is a $5 charge, or $8 at the door. Stumpe said that money will get participants a plate of food, the bands that play, but most of it will go to the woman with Leukemia.

At the event, there will be several bands preforming, including Muncie band "The Wayside." Indianapolis radio station WRZX plans on attending and supporting the event. Representatives from E-Campus.com also support the hogroast.

Last year the hogroast had a great turn out, said Mike Stumpe, risk reduction and education chair of Delta Chi. With lots of family support, he said they are hoping for the same turnout this year.

"We want every single person in Muncie to come," said Stumpe.
