The Cardinals improved their record to 8-3 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference. The team kept its goal of winning the MAC intact by finishing ahead of Northern Illinois. "We want to win a MAC Championship and advance into NCAA regional competition," head coach Mary Roth said. "I believe this team has the depth, commitment and team work to accomplish this."

Ball State will continue its schedule Friday when they host the Circle of Stars meet at the Indiana Convention Center. Coming to Indianapolis to face the Cardinals will be conference foe Eastern Michigan and the Big Ten's Michigan State and Ohio State.
