Leaders receive free singe room, weekday meals

The Office of Orientation is looking for students who are interested in being Student and Family Orientation Leaders for the summer orientation program. The program will last from May 21 to July 12, except for May 27, July 4 and 5.

There are 21 positions available. All interested applicants must have applications completed and submitted by 5 p.m. on Feb. 4 in Student Center Room L-27.

Leaders will be selected based on leadership skills, organization skills and communication skills. Orientation Director Lisa Horst said the office is looking at applicants who get along with others, handle responsibility and are well-rounded.

Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and if hired they must still have a 2.5 at the end of the spring semester. Applicants must also plan to continue enrollment at BSU during the 2002 fall semester.

According to Horst, leaders will enjoy benefits such as developing leadership skills and being proud to represent Ball State. Other benefits include a free single room and free weekday meals.
