Student in critical care unit

A Ball State student remains in the neuro critical care unit at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Sunday evening.

Andrew Bourne, 21, Liberty, was injured Oct. 20 during an attempt to tear down the stadium goal posts after a Ball State football game.

Bourne was rushed to Ball Memorial Hospital where he stayed in the intensive care unit until Tuesday when he was then taken to Methodist Hospital.

Stephen Jeffers, a student who witnessed the accident, said Bourne was standing in the crowd when the goal post fell on his leg. Bourne's family was unavailable for comment.
