"She was an outstanding player and has experience in all areas necessary to become a head coach. We are looking forward to Beth developing our young players and getting our program back to the top of the Mid-American Conference."Maddox spent the last three seasons at Colgate as an assistant to coach Cathy Foto. Maddox was a coach in the 2008 U.S. Field Hockey Association Futures Program.Her other coaching experience comes from her alma mater Salem High School, where she coached the junior varsity field hockey team.Maddox is a 2005 graduate of Old Dominion University, where she was a four-year field hockey letterwinner. She scored seven goals and had two assists in 77 career games, as Maddox and the Monarchs won the National Championship in 2000.
